Eugene

I <3 Jacob Black

For those of you who don't know already, I moved to Eugene last Sautrday.
I'm going to college at Lane now and it's pretty awesome so far.
Except I hate my US Women's History class. The teacher is such a betch.
Other than that I love my other classes.
I'm taking Yoga, History of Western Civilization (favourite), and Personal Health.
And I pretty much know how to do everything now here so it' not as scary/intimidating anymore.
Oh, last Tuesday I ran into Seth Laub, of all people. I was never expecting to see anyone I knew lol. It was so weird.
So anway school is school and that is that.

In other news:

I'm, uh, dating Tim Drexler now.
Weird, right?
Since Casey and him were like best friends and such, and like he used to be my best guy friend.
(Neither of us are really friends with Casey now, so we don't care about that)
It was all just totally out of nowhere and unexpected.
But unexpected things usually turn out to be amazing and this one has been.
I am so happy, and seriously have never been this happy EVER.
He is just the most amazing guy and he's so sweet, and cute, and romantic, and he's everything I've ever wanted.
It only had to take us almost four years to recognize this lol.
So yeah, we're like.....in love....and all that jazz lol.

So yup, that's about it in my life.
Just thought I'd update people.
Byes, ya'll.

For the first five people that reply to me and re-post this challenge, I will send you something. It might be something I've made, or something cool from my hidden stash, it might be a mix CD, or a rubber duck, a book I think you will enjoy, or something else that is awesome. Whatever it is, I promise that I will get it to you in 365 days or fewer. The only thing you need to do in order to participate is to be one of the first five to reply to this, AND post this very same thing on YOUR LiveJournal - cause it's fun to give people stuff.

HP and the OoTP

  • Jul. 14th, 2007 at 6:47 PM
I <3 Jacob Black
So I went and saw HP and the OoTP today.
I'm really not sure what I thought of it.
It was okay.
Since I hadn't read the book in ages I was seeing it like someone who hadn't read the book.
It didn't seem to transition well.
The ending was the best part even though Sirius "died" and it was sad.
I teared up about three times.
So Luna Lovegood= LOVE!
I loved her so much.
Umbridge= I hate her with a fiery passion.
What a bitch.
Neville is as cute as ever.
I love him.
I don't get Snape.
Why is he so damn willing to help Dumbledore and what not but then kills him in the sixth book?
WHY?!
Harry...I can't stand him much anymore.
I'm kind of hoping he dies in the last book.
It'll be a good ending because then we won't have to wonder about his life after Hogwarts and so on.
Hermione is so uptight and needs to loosen up.
But I still love her.
Ron...getting better with age.
Sirius...I'd do him.
Lol.
Well that's about it for now.
Toodles!

Will is hot with that hair...

I love my Norma Jean

"Candle in the Wind"
Elton John

Goodbye Norma Jean
Though I never knew you at all
You had the grace to hold yourself
While those around you crawled
They crawled out of the woodwork
And they whispered into your brain
They set you on the treadmill
And they made you change your name

And it seems to me you lived your life
Like a candle in the wind
Never knowing who to cling to
When the rain set in
And I would have liked to have known you
But I was just a kid
Your candle burned out long before
Your legend never did

Loneliness was tough
The toughest role you ever played
Hollywood created a superstar
And pain was the price you paid
Even when you died
Oh the press still hounded you
All the papers had to say
Was that Marilyn was found in the nude

Goodbye Norma Jean
From the young man in the 22nd row
Who sees you as something as more than sexual
More than just our Marilyn Monroe

That Taurus man in my life...

  • Nov. 4th, 2006 at 10:46 PM
I <3 Jacob Black
"You're completely different creatures, which can be a turn on. But can you handle Taurus's possessiveness along with that sexiness?"

True. How very true.
Sometimes I just wish he wasn't so insecure about our relationship and would stop freaking out if I talk or hang out with a guy. I AM SERIOUSLY NOT GOING TO DO ANYTHING! The guys I hang out with are just friends and our friendships are strictly platonic. I am not going to do what he did to me even though sometimes I think I should have just to get back at him but I am not that kind of person and I could never live with myself if I did that. That is just such a horrible thing and would def. backfire.

I love him so much and I just wish that he would understand that I will never do anything to hurt him and I will never leave him or anything like that. He is the one I want to spend the rest of my life with and have kids with and grow old together and cuddle with and dance with and kiss and hold and shop with and watch movies with and cook with and people watch with and go to concerts with and color with and move to Ireland with. It is HIM I want and NOT ANYBODY else. Yeah and that is the end of my rant.

S'laters.

You'll be surprised at how much you like this earthy and predictable boy - and he'll like you because he senses that like him, you have your own idea of what life should be.He's ruled by Venus' tactile side and is prone to seek out physical pleasure, and your Saturn-ruled seriousness about your responsibility to humankind could use a little grounding. You're both very set in your ways - in fact, the two of you could have a tug-of-war for the title of the most stubborn person in the world! But fortunately, you also are very fixed in your attraction and respect for one another. His desire to accumulate things will balance your instinct to give away what you have, so being together might change both of your senses of what's valuable about life.Together, you might find more than one way to live your lives, and get a deeper and more meaningful life experience.

I'm Amandalicious

I <3 Jacob Black

So I should be working on my Economics lesson b.c we have like three weeks of school left and I have like 4 or 5 lessons left and that's alot. But I am just sitting here in my snazzy new vest listening to Fergie.
"I rock it hardcore for my fly ladies."
So I'm very evil because I borrowed a coat from the costume cupboard, which I know is bad but I couldn't help myself. It's so warm and nice. I feel like a poor English boy. Don't worry I'll return it tomorrow...or maybe I can convince Mrs. Edwards to let me have it if money is involved. B.c I know she can always use a little extra money for theatre. :D Anyways, she won't even notice. She doesn't even know what is in there.
"No other lady can put it down like me."
I'm pretty excited that tomorrow is Hallowe'en. My costume isn't that awesome and if I wore it tomorrow to school everyone would think I was just wearing a normal outfit. Which I am. I didn't have anything to really make a good costume so I'm just gonna be a A Young Hollywood Star Trying to Be Incognito: I've got the casual clothes, sunglasses, scarf, and hat. Just like any hollywood star trying to avoid the paparazzi. Yup, that's it. Not very exciting but at least I'll be warm.
So what is everyone else doing for Hallowe'en?
Well I guess I should read my Economics stuff and try and understand supply and demand. Which I totally don't get, but oh well.
S'laters.

Fergalicious

I <3 Jacob Black
You must check out Fergie's new cd, The Duchess. It's pretty rad and has some good songs. I love Fergalicious! It's fun to dance too. It's not as good as Black Eye Peas but it's still pretty cool. Besides, Fergie has great fashion sense and is very unique and I love her. She's very pretty. Anyways, you must check it out or some of the songs.

Oh and here's another good song. It's called clumsy and is a very good love song.

"Clumsy"

Can't help it
The girl can't help it [repeat 3x]

First time
That I saw your eyes
Boy you looked right through me, mmmhmm
Play it cool
But I knew you knew
That cupid hit me, mmm mmm

You got me trippin, stumbling, flippin, fumbling
Clumsy cuz I'm fallin in love
You got me slippin, tumbling, sinking, fumbling
Clumsy cuz I'm fallin in love
So in love with you

Can't help it
The girl can't help it [repeat 3x]

Can't breath
When you touch me, see
Butterflies so crazy, mmm mmm
Whoa now, think I'm goin down
Friends don't know whats with me, mmm mmm

You got me trippin, stumbling, flippin, fumbling
Clumsy cuz I'm fallin in love
You got me slippin, tumbling, sinking, fumbling
Clumsy cuz I'm fallin in love
So in love with you

Can't help it
The girl can't help it [repeat 3x]

You know, this isn't the first time this has happened to me
This love sick thing
I like serious relationships and a
A girl like me dont stay single for long
Cuz everytime a boyfriend and I break up
My world is crushed and I'm all alone
The love bug crawls right back up and bites me and I'm back

Can't help it
The girl can't help it [repeat 3x]

You got me trippin, stumbling, flippin, fumbling
Clumsy cuz I'm fallin in love
You got me slippin, tumbling, sinking, fumbling
Clumsy cuz I'm fallin in love
So in love with you

So in love with you
So in love with you

So that's it for now.

Your life path says a lot about you, so please read the following very carefully ...

Amanda, your Life Path of 3 ...

You are creative, expressive and blessed with some type of talent that is guaranteed to put you in the spotlight at least once in your life. You have an upbeat personality and others find you easy to identify with. You also have the potential to become the symbol for an entire culture or generation. Many beloved entertainers, columnists, movie stars and inspirational leaders in the world are number 3's.

Your creative and performing talents are also augmented by your astounding ability to understand and empathize with others. You are the number that knows how to "give the people what they want." For this reason many of you also end up in sales or advertising as your innate charm enables you to "sell ice to an Eskimo."

You often rise to the top of any career that you choose but the old cliche "it's lonely at the top" also applies to you. This is because threes are often fated to be loved by many but not by one special other. However most as most 3's are naturally philanthropic and giving of their hearts, many are quite satisfied with the mass attention and social popularity that is often part of their life path.

In fact, the highest attainment of your life path is the polishing and perfecting of your talent and sharing it with the world. Unfortunately as you do so you may find yourself leaving a lot of broken hearts along the way. A challenge for many 3's is also not to become too jaded about love.

As you are very independent and light on your feet you may have a problem finding a life partner that understands your ambitions or that is willing to share you with so many other people. Even if you don't achieve fame, 3's tend to be at the very center of their community and enjoy a thriving social and love life. In fact having too many romances during one lifetime is very characteristic of a 3.

As you always put talent or career first you might also find yourself to be the odd person out in a number of love triangles during your life. Usually this is because a career calling forces a 3 to abandon a partner who cannot keep up with them. Sometimes their fast-paced lifestyle does not offer them the time to cultivate a relationship. For this reason you also might find your relationships to be more unorthodox than others might; finding soul mates who are already attached or that are much older or much younger than you.

As you have a very spiritually sophisticated view of life you embrace change without the fear that is experienced by most of the other numbers. Often this causes you hardships financially, as you are the number that is most willing to gamble or take a big risk to launch a new project.

You are capable of making large amounts of money, but also capable of spending it all just as fast. As you are not very materially minded you are not necessarily concerned about this but your carefree attitude about money often alarms your family and business associates.

Your tendency to live for today and not for tomorrow is a blessing as well as curse for you as you journey along your life path. The drawback of this is that you are easily distracted from your responsibilities.

The rare number three that is not successful in life has probably lost his or her focus. The positive aspect of this tendency to live in the here and now is that you rapidly bounce back from any type of misfortune and like a chameleon have an uncanny ability to reinvent yourself throughout your life time.

Your _Expression - which describes your potential natural talents and abilities - works out to be a 9.

Amanda, your _Expression of 9 ...
Your Potential Natural Talents and Abilities

The ultimate height of your personal _expression in life is the chance to offer to others. You are spiritual in a very practical way and others are often drawn to your empathy and compassion. You work well with people of all ages but you particularly delight in inspiring creativity in children and young adults. For this reason you make a fantastic teacher, counselor or psychologist.

Others trust you implicitly because you are so kind, considerate and consistent. You are often the one that is still there when everyone else has abandoned someone for being a "lost cause." You are an extremely loyal and dependable friend.

You are a very intuitive individual who is deeply connected to others in a spiritual way. Many nines are prophets, healers and psychics. If you are not psychic then at the very least you are deeply drawn to studying matters of the occult or religion in some way. As you are so driven by your intuition, you are not often found in a day job but rather in an occupation that allows you to go where your heart leads you.

As others don't understand your idealism you might suffer a great deal of skepticism or criticism in your life. While very young you may have learned to cloak your personality in eccentricity so that others don't take you seriously. You may have also gained a great deal of weight or developed a disability that gives you the excuse not to have march in step with the mass population. Often these illnesses and personal problems exist in order to eventually to jumpstart a leap on the spiritual path to enlightenment. Your trials and troubles often eventually qualify you as a "wounded healer" by the end of your life.

You are very concerned with the issue of how to express unconditional love. This is a very troubling concept for you as it is difficult for you to accept that one could love another so much and get no cosmic reward in return. It is often part of a number nine's life _expression path to be stuck with a difficult soul mate or experience a lot of rejection. This is the universe's way of forcing you to connect with others on a spiritual way rather in a way that is lustful or possessive.

Love is the most important thing in the world to you but you often have problems finding a soul mate. Many nines do not make good parents because they are too driven by impulse to be a consistent presence in a child's life. Your partner or lover may also find you frustrating because you live so much in the present and rarely think of the future.

You are very warm and friendly and almost all that meet you are immediately impressed by your gentle and kind personality. As the last thing anyone could ever call you is shallow, you sometimes don't pay that much attention to your personal appearance. Also putting other's priorities ahead of your own often leads to a great deal of self-sacrifice. One of your challenges is to make sure that you take time out to take care of yourself and your surroundings.

Creativity and art mean a great deal to you and many of you are great poets, musicians and artists. Art is an ideal way for you to express your love of harmony and the divine order of the universe.

Amanda, your Soul Urge of 5 ...

What You Desire To Be, To Have, and To Do In Your Life

You love change. You live to experience as much as possible in the shortest amount of time possible. You appreciate the fact that life is short and are bound and determined to make the most of every minute you have on this earth. You have an inquisitive mind and a thirst for adventure that is only slaked by the collecting of unusual experiences and plenty of travel.

Your adaptable nature puts you at home anywhere. You are also a bit of chameleon that is able to transform its appearance and nature to suit the environment. You are a big believer in the phrase "When in Rome.. Do as the Romans do." Your closet is usually full of many costumes, as part of your soul's satisfaction is to do a bit of \"play acting\" in real life.

You also possess the rare gift of detachment. Emotionally this grants you the ability to have a serial number of relationships throughout your life yet not suffer any kind of trauma or nasty consequences when one ends. However your casual attitude towards relationships often devastates others who interpret your adventurous spirit as an unwillingness to settle down and put down roots. This gives you the reputation of being "shallow" or a "heartbreaker" when nothing could be further from the truth. You simply don't connect to others in the same way they do to you and you are frustrated by those who can't seem to get on with their life the same way you are able to.

In fact you can't think of a bigger disservice to one's soul than to give up one's right to pursue their heart's desire. You feel smothered by individuals who define love as giving up your heart and soul for another. Your definition of love is more spiritually sophisticated. You believe that an _expression of true love for another soul is the courage to let them go to pursue their own path.

Another one of your blessings is that it simply does not occur to you to be overemotional about things or create dramas. You are a very difficult person to pick a fight with as you have a pacifist nature. You simply see ugly emotional scenes as beneath you and you are often long gone before a battle of wills is likely to take place.

You are also very accepting of different cultures and in particular, religious and political points of view. Unfortunately others see this omniscience as procrastination or as two faced as you have a way of "agreeing with everyone." Your refusal to take a stand sometimes costs you dearly professionally. This is often a mystery to you as from your point of view all you were doing is being fair.

You intrinsically understand that without change there is no evolution. This is why somehow, many of you end up as being the catalyst for change in many situations. Sometimes the change that your very presence provokes is constructive and good and sometimes you are the culprit that causes complete chaos. However often your motivation for revealing secrets or destroying relationships is to clear out the old and create way for the new.

You are also graced with an astounding amount of courage. Like water you have the ability to wear down obstacles like water in a stream wears down a rock over a long period of time. Although you may appear unpredictable or unreliable to others you are actually a very complex individual who often harbors a clear vision of who they want to be and how they want to live in the future.

Well...

Since I really don't write on here much, I'm thinking of turning my journal into a recipe resource place. I'll post up recipes every day or every few days, or really whenever I remember. It'll be a cool place to find recipes if you're bored and want to make something. You can even suggest a recipe or ask me if I can find a specific recipe for you, say like one with kiwanos or something(you don't know what a kiwano is? well look here!  http://www.foodreference.com/html/art-kiwano-melon.html They are awesome!). Anyways tell me if you think it's a cool idea or something.
S'laters!

P.S. Here is my first recipe. Enjoy!

Sweet Grilled Peaches

    What you need:
  • 1 (16 ounce) package frozen peach slices
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons cinnamon
What you do:
  1. Preheat a grill for medium heat.
  2. Place peaches onto a large piece of aluminum foil. Use two if necessary to hold in all of the peaches without spillage. Drizzle the honey over the peaches, and sprinkle with cinnamon. Close up the foil, sealing tightly.
  3. Place the foil packet onto the preheated grill, and cook for 10 minutes, turning once halfway through. Carefully open the packet, and serve.

what's your international flava?
Daring and Delicious
You have some reservations about eating different foods, but for the most part, you're willing to try new things. The perfect international foods for you are familiar enough, but offer exciting flavors that will bring you far away from your daily peanut butter and jelly sandwich. The perfect ethnic foods for you are Thai and Mediterranean food--two types of cuisines full of rich spices and options so you'll find something you can enjoy. Hit up your local Thai restaurant for some Pad Thai (a dish made with noodles, peanuts and chicken or shrimp) and your mouth will get a tasty treat or take trip to the Mediterranean by trying some delicious falafel, a fried ball of chick peas that you can eat in a pita with some hummus. Yum!

HOW DO I FREAKIN POST MY BLOGTHINGS QUIZZES?!?!

For some reason they NEVER work for me. Someone please help me??

In other news, I got a C on my final for Health Occupations 1(*sob*), which gives me a B+ for my final grade(Hooray!). So I'm pretty happy about that. Now I'm going to take Understanding Economics so I don't have to take it with Mr. Winters, who is CRAZY! And he always leaves me confused when I ask a question. I never know what he is talking about. Or when I ask a question he goes onto something else. So yeah he's weird.

Anyways, my wrist hurts and there is a shooting pain going up my left arm so I am going to go and do nothing. Love me.
